Welcome!
When people ask me what kind of a doc am I, I answer this way: " I have the personality of an old time horse and buggy family doc". I like to spend time with my patient. I try to answer all questions, and I add any additional information they might need. When a patient leaves me, I hope they feel that all their questions have been answered and that they understand what is going on and why we must do what is prescribed. I want the patient to feel we are a team.
Now in saying that, I also want to say, I respect the patent's time. While I want to spend time, I do not want to waste time. I do not know of anybody who likes to wait. In trying to accomplish what I just stated, I schedule patent's visit time appropriately.
My schooling and experience?. For college, I went to Temple University in Philadelphia, missing Bill Cosby's time at Temple by a few years. Funny stories abound. Thomas Jefferson Medical College, with it's long traditional history, was a great challenge as a medical school. I then spent two years as a General Surgical--trauma resident in General Surgery after completing medical school. That specialty was quite sad, unfortunately.
I left the field of General Surgery, for a while, and pursued two years as an Emergency Room physician. Because it was I, alone, on the "front line" in the Emergency Department, I really learned how to use a stethoscope and read X-rays.
However, I missed participating in surgery. To pursue this interest, I went into Otolaryngology, at my old Alma mater, Thomas Jefferson Medical University. I like Otolaryngology as a specialty. It suits my personality. I enjoy children and I see and treat many children in my practice. I enjoy a good conversation with my adults and I have a tender place in my heart for my senior citizens.
I am a Board Certified Otolaryngologist and have been in Otolaryngology for twenty three years.
I also have a great interest in the treatment of allergies of all types.
While I have more to share, stay healthy, but if I can help...give a call.
We accept all new patients. Hours are by appointment, however, we try hard to accommodate everyone's needs.
